During the 25 years of working with some of the best business development in the electricity industry, we found unique properties that separate these people from the rest. It does not seem to what organization they work for, or services are important customers, the economic climate. We find that these people are in fact the top 3% of professionals in their field. In addition to learning that CEOs, presidents, business leaders in the development of managed business units, we found that they have acquired the behavioral characteristics of a leader. They learned how strategic and operational objectives set in the collection of plans, how visionary and see the possibilities for their business that may escape others, and the role of business development, they have the basic skills 12 to face a landmark action leaders.
One of the most convincing definition of a leader is someone whose mere presence raises the willingness to follow. The question of whether leaders are born or bred, the general consensus is that leadership can be taught. While some of us are lucky enough to be formally trained or supervised in leadership, we are all called, a leader at different times and circumstances in our lives. Leadership is about who you are as a person, not what you do and the concept of character best describes the main characteristic of a CEO. This part of the individual who inspires others to follow, we see nature as the sum of the different principles and values, core beliefs, which is an anchor and measures of behavior in all roles in life. Principles and values of a positive leader include loyalty, respect, integrity, courage, fairness, honesty, duty, honor and commitment.
If the character is a summary of our principles and our values, then ethics is the application of them. To learn more about character development to understand, we can reach nearly 2500 years in the writings of Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics. Aristotle taught that moral virtue is acquired by practice. Ethics, by Aristotle, is moral virtue, which is the result of habit. Ethics Ethik in as root, formed by the slight variation of the word ethos (habit). Aristotle declares that the moral virtues do not arise in us by nature, we accept them hug them and perfect them by habit. Leadership training emphasizes that understanding is the leader and the values of attributes, the first step in development. Leaders must also embrace the values and attributes of the practice, they live until they become a habit.
The role of successful business development requires the fusion of who we are as individuals, in collaboration with our principles, values, ethics and their application. It is a unique combination of what we know how to apply and what we do.
